Attorney Jordan I Shifrin, of Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit, Chairman, of the Condominium Advisory Council, has announced that the council will soon commence holding public hearings.  The Council was established in 2007 to review all aspects of the condominium and homeowners associations laws in the State of Illinois and make a report to the legislature and the Governor. 

The first two hearing dates and places are as follows:

August 19, 2008 Naperville City hall 10 a.m. -12 p.m.

September 3, 2008 Chicago- St. Andrews Greek  Orthodox Church (Hollywood and Sheridan) 10 a.m.- 12 p.m.

Members of the public and industry professionals are invited to come and participate and offer suggestions for possible changes in state laws governing condominium and homeowner associations.

Additional hearings will be scheduled shortly.Tentative locations are Crystal Lake, Orland Park and Bloomington. Details will be announced.
